Making Of The London FabLab Dymaxion Map…

 

This video accompanies the instructables about the making of the Dymaxion Atlas at the London FabLab.  It is strange to see how things pan out. For example when I wrote this article about how I really liked FabLabs and how they can relate to the views of Buckminster Fuller, I was in a cafe in Montreal. It was spring but cold and rainy, my spirits were down due to, see the article. Little did I know that I would produce this giant map originally designed by Buckminster Fuller within a few months time at FabLab London, in the heart of the Financial district. I directed myself to doing this at the FabLab London by contacting them, but at the time I did not know what I would make in the end. So in some ways, we can navigate our way through life but we cannot design our lives, unexpected things happen, but we can go in the general direction and continue to progress and grow…Check out more photos in the portfolio section.
