London Art…

Home  >>  London Art…

Strangely, London is a love hate place for me. Unlike New York, a city I am always fascinated by if I am there or not, London is a place that I am not often that amazed at when I am not there. However, when I visit it, I realise it has its wonder too in a different way to New York. It still feels like a global city connected to the ‘pulse’. This work shows my favourite view from the Embankment. I often find myself going there when I am in London. Again, I am mixing traditional drawing with the black lines with the 3d graphic elements below. The dark lines are all done on paper and then scanned in to edit with the 3d graphics elements.  Static monolithic, vs fluid energy of people and moving objects. Available as an A3 print.

This print was used as artwork in the ‘Augmented Reality’ issue of Litro Magazine.

Piccadilly Fragments, London….

This work was made at the same time as the London Embankment work. I am fascinated by areas of World cities that many of us have been to. At the same moment, digital virtual networks criss cross with reality and what we see as real space becomes chopped up and fragmented with virtual space. This image is meant to convey this feeling. It is Piccadilly in London but at the same time, virtual shapes from the digital world interact and we are withing reach of our freinds and contacts from other parts of the World. Available as an A3 print. Below, check out thevideo I made moving around the image and talking about it…
