May to September 2010 - Architectonic Paintings

Over the summer, I will be producing a number of paintings with an 'architectonic' aesthetic, combining 3d graphics and painting on canvas. I am also developing some kinetic sculpture works. These works should be complete in September and images will be released in the relevant gallery section.

December 2010 - Cunard Shortlister 2010

I entered my first sculpture competition and was chosen as a shortlister in the Cunard and Telegraph media competition, to design a five metre tall sculpture for the stairwell of the new Cunard cruise liner. I was in the top 20 shortlisters out of many hundreds of entries. My proposal evoked sea travel and the placement of the ship above the ocean and below the skies. The work was firstly developed using initial pen and ink sketches I then evolved the work using the 3d software 3DS Max 2010. Although I did not gain first place in the competition, I would have liked to have developed the piece in reality and may well do so in the future.
